How many onshore Partner Visa applications can I lodge?

Category:Partner visa

Question asked

How many onshore partner visa applications can I lodge if I initially lodged an application but it was withdrawn/refused - relationship dissolved.

Now I am in a relationship and we wish to lodge a new partner visa (starting with a temporary partner to allow me to remain in Australia). Can I lodge it onshore in Australia or do I need to lodge offshore?

Answer provided by our agents

Hi H,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your Partner Visa application.

To answer your questions, I require more information about your current immigration and visa status.

What type of visa are you currently holding?
What was your previous visa?

If you had withdrawn your onshore Partner Visa, your current bridging visa will cease 35 calendar days from the date the application was withdrawn.
If your onshore Partner Visa was refused, you are barred from applying for any other visas including Partner visa while you are in Australia, you must leave the country.

If you have already left Australia and returned again on another visa, You may be able to lodge your Partner Visa onshore, if your visa allows you to lodge another visa while you are onshore.
